The Training

In our training seminars, you will be introduced to the game method step by step. You will learn about the methodology, game mechanisms, background, and learning objectives. We provide you with practical training and tips for independent use. The training to become a World Climate Game facilitator concludes with a certification that entitles you to conduct the game independently.

Module 1

A Complete Game Experience

The first step toward game facilitation is full, free participation in a three-day World Climate Game as a player. For this purpose, Weitblick GmbH organizes multiplier games for the adult target group.

Module 2

2.5 to 3 days

Game Facilitation Seminar

This module covers the pedagogical foundations of the World Climate Game, explains the gameplay and rules in detail, and demonstrates the use of the web applications for players and facilitators. The game's content is reflected upon in terms of environmental education, climate education, political education, and climate communication. Additionally, the basics of simulation game theory, methods for reflection rounds, and debriefing are taught, along with inputs on conflict moderation, group dynamics, player typology, and life skills promotion.

Hands-On Internship

To complete the training, you will shadow a game implementation led by experienced facilitators. You are expected to take an active and supportive role and gain your first implementation experience in a protected environment.
