Environmental Education Meets Playful Approach: The World Climate Game Introduced in Germany, Featured in Süddeutsche Zeitung!
The Center for Climate Resilience at the University of Augsburg provided us with an ideal setting for the implementation of our newly developed app-based board game. By actively engaging participants in playful yet educational activities, we made complex topics related to climate change more tangible. Our highly interactive workshop format allowed for an in-depth exploration of the challenges and opportunities posed by climate change. In addition to students, the offering was also open to staff and the interested public.
Our successful debut in Germany demonstrates that innovative and interactive learning methods have great potential to raise awareness and encourage action regarding climate change. Our format and playful approach received wide acclaim, leading the Süddeutsche Zeitung to publish a dedicated article about the Global Climate Game.
