5.4.-6.4.2024 I Vienna - SCHÜLF Workshop: The World Climate Game as an Interdisciplinary Teaching Project

The idea of the workshop offered is to integrate the World Climate Game as a tool for climate and sustainability education into regular lessons. The World Climate Game is ideally suited for interdisciplinary teaching projects, as it combines aspects from the fields of natural sciences, social sciences and ethics. Through the playful approach, complex relationships are made understandable and tangible. Students not only deepen their knowledge of climate change with the World Climate Game, but also train important skills such as teamwork, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Procedure of the SCHÜLF:

1. day: Presentation of the game and the pedagogical objectives by game creator and developer Matthias Mittelberger.Half day:
2. day: Play of the World Climate Game with all participants and reflection.
3. day: Concept development of the interdisciplinary teaching project.
